We all know (I believe) 3 of Jerry's sons were not invited to his funeral. I assume he stopped talking to Gary because he did The Inside Edition episode where they took Gary's DNA to try to prove Susan was Jerry's legitimate daughter. Does anyone know for sure? Curious.

Gary did an interview earlier this year and was asked when the last time was that he spoke to Jerry. He didn't give an definite answer, but said he would go to Jerry's house when in Vegas to check how he was doing, but had no in-depth discussions with him. He didn't mention what their relationship was like during that time.
Not even all of Jerry's sons talk to each other.

Jerry stopped talking to Anthony because of his handling of Patti, and the mismanagement of funds allocated to her care. That is why Anthony was not allowed to see Patti at the care facility. The video that was once posted here with Patti at the care facility, and Scott saying that Anthony wasn't allowed there previously confirms that. He only goes to see his mom after Jerry passes. Ever since I heard that information, I stopped trusting Anthony, and turns out I was correct, since he backstabbed his dad with the inside edition interview. Ronnie disowned the entire family so who knows when he last spoke to anyone. Scott had a strained relationship with Jerry but he was allowed at the memorial service.
Gary also said some awful things about Jerry after Joseph died. So I'm that was the more likelier cause.

That's why I think it was kind of strange that Anthony claimed he had to sue Jerry to not let Patti live on streets, when there are clearly much more to the story.
