It was pretty intense. Him comparing that woman to Eva Braun at the end though. lol

Boy, Jerry came out with both barrels firing! The "Eva Braun" thing - he often reverted to Nazi-connected name-calling (e.g. "the Nuremberg trial"), especially when he lost his cool. He wasn't perfect.

A year later, Jerry was on again. When Donahue introduced SanDee Pitnick, Jerry's then-betrothed, did anyone catch how the camera caught her rolling her eyes in apparent embarrassment or discomfort with the situation?

Omg. Does anyone else find Phil Donahue self righteous and supremely annoying? I mean of course I’d defend Jerry bc it’s my sickness but cmon. Jerry should of decked him and I’m not a seeking violence person.

The remark he made about that woman was unnecessary. He could have just said, "Not everyone is going to like it", or something like that. With such a big telethon, it would be impossible to be free from critisism. Jerry wasn't always that good at handling it. Then again, I also feel like most of those who interviewed him always had to bring up the critics, whether it were critics of his movies or his telethon.

Not sure why Phil Donahue asked Jerry the same things every time he came on. Also, it's annoying when he asks Jerry why there aren't any other celebrities standing up for other causes as if that either should Jerry be the spokesperson for all of them or none at all. He can't speak for the choices other people make...
