I started a more in-depth look at a certain period of Patti's life because I was confused about which band Patti was singing with when she married Jerry: Ted Fio Rito or Jimmy Dorsey. And then I was curious about how/when she met her first husband, Jimmy DiPalma/Palmer, from whom she later took her professional surname. In-depth means: as much as I can do online with the limited, publicly available resources at my disposal and no contact within the family. In the end, my research raised more questions than it answered. Implications made by the author of an upcoming book on JL also caused me to take another look at this phase of Patti's life and draw new conclusions.
