I am full of disgust for this man. After he was fired by Jerry years ago, he has been on a vendetta against him to ruin his reputation. He does this under a guise of still pretending to be Jerry's friend, and respectful of his life. He has used Suzan Lewis, Gary Lewis, Lonnie Rowley (Jerry's childhood friend), and Patti Lewis recently.
"AND NOW IT CAN BE ANNOUNCED! The “Real” Jerry Lewis Story, written by entertainer and long-time theatrical representative Rick Saphire, is an addendum to all previous accounts of the life and career of Jerry Lewis. This new book contains many photos and never-discussed facts that will surprise the most devoted Jerry Lewis fans, including Jerry’s own family. Written with fondness, respect, and humor, the book is historically accurate with some stunning revelations. The veil of mystery surrounding many urban legends attributed to the comedy superstar will finally be lifted.
Unlike biographies penned by a stranger or ghost writer, The “Real” Jerry Lewis Story is, by and large, the autography of the author himself. Information and intimate details are drawn from Rick Saphire’s own childhood while “hanging out” with Jerry Lewis and his entourage. In later years, he was Jerry’s friend and personal manager. Rick Saphire's story reveals little-known facts about the most complex, funny, angry, exasperating, and talented person he has ever known.

I commented to Rick Sapphire on his fb posts promoting the book with some of the following comments:
"Also maybe you should share what Gary and his brothers did to deserve Jerry not leaving them anything in his will? I guess Gary forgot about being saved from jail, due to Jerry's influence and paying about 500,000 throughout the years to keep him out of jail. His mother Patti even wrote about Gary's difficulties with the law and drugs.
"Written with fondness, respect, and humor" ? Yeah right. Nothing you said there was positive. Also you're claiming that the M&L's act stole from The Wesson Brothers? Well how about Stump and Stumpy, who claimed that Dean and Jerry borrowed bits from them too? They took bits and pieces from every vaudeville and burlesque act around, and put their own spin on it. Jerry already said that long ago. They didn't steal anyone's WHOLE act. Comedians borrow from each other ALL the time. Many comedians have borrowed from Jerry Lewis. Martin Short, Jim Carrey, Richard Pryor (in his early days), John Ritter as Jack Tripper on Three's Company, Chevy Chase, Sammy Petrillo, etc."
I also called him out for being fired, then also pretending that he didn't recently set up a GoFundMe page for Patti Lewis.
